Prefeasibility / Feasibility study / EIES - Uganda

Our expertise

The Last Mile Electrification Support Project aims to extend and densify the national grid and develop off-grid solutions in rural areas and targets to achieve at least 40 000 new last mile connections. The European Union has earmarked a grant funding contribution to the Africa Investment Platform. This contribution is expected to be implemented under indirect management with the Agence Française de Développement (AFD), which should be the Lead Finance Institution of the project.
The resulting project’s scope is as follows:
(i) On-grid: 413 villages in 34 districts (ii) Off-grid: 2 mini-grids on 2 Lake Victoria islands (Bugaya & Koome)

With the aim of reaching an overall 40 000 last mile connections to be financed by the project.
